Terrestrial Data Services
A variety of terrestrial services are available, with options for IP or clear channel transport:
IPLex Flat Rate DS1
IPLex SONET
IPLex Euronet
IPLex Frame Relay
Our international terrestrial facilities interconnect SES AMERICOM teleports with major U.S. and international carrier hotels and POPs. Our fiber-optic network features OC-48 SONET rings linking major teleports to local POPs and tele-centers, and DS-3 or greater long-haul terrestrial capacity. Backhaul routes can be channelized for T1/E1 with 64 Kbps increments.
We provide IP services via the SES AMERICOM core network, which offers maximum redundancy and support for our customers. IP access is available at all of our facilities and can accommodate scalable rates from 64 Kbps (DS0) up to 45 Mbps (DS-3). SES AMERICOM's on-net terrestrial capacity, or common transport, ranges from 64 Kbps (DS0) up to 45 Mbps (DS-3). Our on-net transport platform features advanced networking management options for remote monitoring and troubleshooting, and automatic route provisioning, turn-up and re-routing. We also offer partition visibility to your own network via a web user interface, upon request.
Different equipment interfaces can be offered at each end of a customer's circuit, supporting data rates as low as 64 Kbps up to 45 Mbps with even different interfaces on both ends, over the same platform. In addition, inverse multiplexing is available as a built-in option. Our Terrestrial services feature:
