GE-1E is an all high-powered BSS satellite delivering DTH, cable television, broadcast and broadband Internet data applications within Europe and North Africa. GE-1E's transponders form the Pan-European beam of the Sirius 2 satellite operated by NSAB of Sweden. Operational in January of 1998, GE-1E already provides service for panregional broadcasters, regional feeds of global TV channels, business television, pay-per-view movie services for cable, and horse racing coverage. In addition, GE-1E is used by a number of uplink service providers uplinking from the UK, Sweden and Cyprus. |
