GE-8, home to America's premier radio networks and AT&T Alascom, is located at 139° West Longitude. The satellite was launched on 19 December 2000, aboard an Ariane 5 launcher from Kourou, French Guiana, completing an unprecedented campaign for GE Americom: four satellite launches in less than 14 weeks.

GE-1A launch photo GE-1A, a high-powered Ku-band satellite was launched on 1 October 2000, aboard a Proton launcher from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Located at 108.2° East Longitude and operated by Americom Asia-Pacific, GE-1A provides comprehensive coverage of China, N.E. Asia/The Philippines, and South Asia including India.
