Broadband IPMulticast"
IPMulticast" is a powerful new satellite-based, data delivery service from GE Americom. It provides a high-speed broadband overlay for today's existing terrestrial networks, helping businesses:
  • Improve network performance and value
  • Better utilize advanced multimedia applications

The ultimate result: every part of your business has faster, more complete access to the critical information that will help you innovate and compete more successfully.
Bypass Bottlenecks
"Bypassing the Bottlenecks of Terrestrial Networks"

Businesses continually face growing demands for increased network performance because:

  • Applications are more sophisticated
  • Data files grow ever larger
  • Desktops have more powerful PCs
IPMulticast" bypasses the bottlenecks and time constraints associated with delivering multi-megabit data and multimedia through terrestrial networks. It delivers broadband data - at speeds from 1.5 MB up to 45 MB per second - in a multicast mode that sends your content to all endpoints virtually simultaneously.

To save your business money, satellite-based multicasting can send multi-megabit streams of data to 150 endpoints… or 15,000… for the same cost. As the cost per endpoint decreases, the number of endpoints reached with IPMulticast" increases - almost exactly the opposite of terrestrial facility pricing.

IPMulticast" has an open service architecture based on existing standards and commercially available systems. This powerful data delivery service is easily installed and integrated with current enterprise information networks. The sooner your business implements IPMulticast", the sooner you will see improved communications and cooperation with your key suppliers, business partners and even individual customers.
