The Account Manager for Civilian Government Programs will be responsible for AMERICOM Government Services Business Development within certain civilian sectors of the Federal Government Marketplace. This position (which is one of two open positions) will focus on either Department of Homeland Security or other civilian sectors, such as NASA, NOAA, and Veterans Affairs.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years of experience selling to the government
Familiarity with FAR, pricing, as well as other aspects of government sales
Demonstrated knowledge of telecommunications and satellite products and technologies
Must have an understanding of technical requirements for satellite communications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Bachelors Degree required

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Lead responsibility for negotiating and closing Satellite Service Agreements for services involving both satellite and terrestrial communication within the Civilian Government Agencies
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with government and industry professionals and potential customers
Manage current customers? accounts
Coordinate and facilitate a multi-disciplinary sales team as needed for customer satisfaction and revenue generation
Prospect for new business
Prepare written proposals and make presentations to customers and senior level management
Frequent travel required
