EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years related Financial experience, Fixed Asset Management experience preferred |
|
College degree: BS Business Administration, Accounting or Finance |
|
Proficient in SAP (Fixed Asset Module), Microsoft Office Program Suite systems, and the Internet |
|
Ability to sense and respond to organizational priorities with little or no supervision |
|
Strong organization and interpersonal skills |
|
Telecommunications and/or satellite knowledge beneficial |
|
Demonstrated flexibility to perform at high levels in individual as well as team settings |

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Fixed Asset Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing, controlling and reporting in the Fixed Assets of SES AMERICOM.
|
Perform monthly, annual and ad hoc SAP Fixed Asset system processes |
|
Maintain SAP Fixed Asset Master Data |
|
Establish, track and maintain capital expenditure projects in SAP and maintain authorization documentation |
|
Interpret and implement fixed asset capitalization policies |
|
Ongoing review of asset useful lives |
|
Facilitate physical inventory process |
|
Support the maintenance of tax depreciation information and tax reporting |
|
|
|
