OVERVIEW:

The Senior Vice President of Services Development is responsible for leading the development of new service offerings; in full coordination with affiliate companies and generally requiring the use of existing or future SES satellite assets. Such services may be offered together with partners, vendors, contractors, and customers and will be consistent with established SES strategic objectives.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years in a senior leadership Corporate Development or Services Development role; including demonstrated product development & product marketing skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics; Advanced degree a plus
Effective leadership skills, including relationship management, staff development and multi-level communications skills
Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
Extensive business network, particularly in the media and technology sectors
Demonstrated experience with international/multi-cultural business competencies

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Organize and lead a group of professionals who will:
- Achieve area expertise in Media Distribution and Broadband Interconnection in both a fixed and mobile environment
- Be fully cognizant of technology and service trends related to storage, interactivity and cross platform networking
- Initiate and lead projects targeting new services not currently in the SES portfolio, particularly in market segments for which business models must be further developed
- Support ASTRA and AMERICOM on projects undertaken by them in the field of service development, particularly in the implementation of existing business models
- Plan and execute external partnering, development and equity relationships to enhance the development and reduce the risk related to such new services
- Propose and implement a coherent and streamlined process for evaluating, prioritizing, communicating and executing on opportunities.
Articulate SES GLOBAL services strategy in appropriate internal and external forums through speeches and demonstrations; Organize conferences among vendors, partners and potential customers on key service development topics
Provide input to the continuing development of the SES strategic plan
