EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
|
Associates Degree in Electronics or Computer Science |
|
2-4 years of experience as a spacecraft controller or air traffic controller |
|
Good writing and reporting skills |
|
Good interpersonal & communication skills with all levels of the organization |
|
Working knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft operations |
|
Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations |
|
|
|
|
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
|
Operate a TT&C ground station, sometimes independently, in accordance with approved procedures and the daily operations plan |
|
Monitor spacecraft telemetry data, transmit commands as required, and perform ranging operations |
|
React to emergencies and make decisions within approved guidelines |
|
Notify the TT&C Manager, the appropriate Analyst or other on-call personnel of any event not covered in the plans or procedures |
|
Perform off-line data reduction tasks |
|
Operate effectively in a high-pressure work environment |
|
Requires working rotating shifts on 24 hour duty, 7 days per week |
|
Requires lifting up to 60 lbs |
|
