EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
|
10+ years’ experience working with senior officials of various agencies of the U.S. Government, especially the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Congress, the State Department, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Justice |
|
Excellent leadership capability and experience leading cross-functional teams and projects |
|
Demonstrated understanding and hands-on experience in the Satellite industry, including knowledge of its market segments, customer considerations, and effects of legislation on the industry |
|
Demonstrated ability to effectively articulate and present complex ideas to positively influence and lobby the political process and further the attainment of key business results |
|
Demonstrated track record of relationship building, diplomacy, and lobbying within the U.S. Government. |
|
Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Law degree a plus |
|
Extensive experience attending and actively participating in industry and political social events while representing business interests |
|

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
|
Development & execution of a strategy for policy advocacy within various departments of the U.S. Government |
|
Effectively link business objectives and the regulatory process |
|
Serve as principal liaison, relationship builder & lobbyist at industry-related legislative meetings/events |
|
Monitor, influence and act as the subject matter expert on relevant industry legislation, rulings, filings and regulations in the U.S.- including policy, authorizations, certifications and approvals that are required. |
|
Provide regular briefings to SVP, Business Operations and AMERICOM’s leadership team |
|
|
