Spacecraft Analyst (04-07)

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

5 + years minimum working experience in spacecraft operations or related activity (ground station software)
Bachelor's Degree required. Space Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
Working knowledge of satellite orbital mechanics.
Excellent knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft operations.
Good interpersonal and management skills
Good writing and reporting skills
Effective communications skills

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Plan, execute and monitor spacecraft maneuvers, orbit determination and long term spacecraft operating strategy
Update and maintain spacecraft configuration database and coordinate scheduled spacecraft activity
Draft and modify spacecraft operational documentation and procedures per the technical requirements and operational policy
Give direction to spacecraft controllers in support of operations activity as required during normal and off-hours for all scheduled and unscheduled events
Provide initial anomaly evaluation support of on-going anomaly team activity
Set criteria and parameters for spacecraft health of all spacecraft subsystems through data trending and evaluation
Use Unix and Windows-based computer systems and LAN networks
Ensure proper execution of operational procedures and policies
Maintain Spacecraft Controller certification
Support Spacecraft Engineering and new spacecraft development efforts
